the Benefits of Playing Video Games

I don't even know what can be better than playing Age of Empires II online with 5 of my friends. Yep, I know that it was released in 1999, but good games never die. It's such an incredible emotional boost. Moreover, it requires so much multitasking that I can't even think of such difficult situations in the real world.

Leading your army to the battlefield and at the same time not forgetting to manage your economy, do researches and even defend your walls from the enemies - try this. I was sure it had to be very beneficial for my mind, cognitive health and reaction.

However my girlfriend says it is stupid and that I should stop playing it. Well, I won't give up so easily! I did a little research and found 10 arguments for her. So, if you find yourself in a similar situation like mines, where you have to proof that gaming is GOOD, here is a list of 10 benefits of playing video games:

1. Develops empathy

2. Has positive effects on cognitive health

3. Better than TV

4. Improves hand-eye coordination

5. A remedy for intense pain

6. Makes your vision sharper

7. Alleviates common stress and helps in post-traumatic treatment

8. Distracts from snacking and overeating

9. A new way of teaching

10. Boosts imagination

Of course, too much video gaming or playing violent games could have some negative effects, but it is true with every thing. Choose games wisely - those which require more logical thinking over violent games, don't play too much, and just have fun. Good luck!

Adventure Computer Games - Discover the Joy of Agatha Christie With Mystery Adventure Computer Games

Mystery & adventure computer games have some great examples in the interactive adaptations of Agatha Christie's novels. Unlike action games, the adventure genre lays its emphasis on the narrative rather than combat. And as they need an interesting plot and solid characters, her stories are an excellent basis for mystery PC gaming.

The single player format also lends itself well to these books as her murder mysteries evolve around a central character, such as Hercule Poirot (her most famous detective creation). Usually it is up to this main character to explore closed areas i.e. the crime scene, discover clues and solve puzzles to uncover the murderer and his motives. Similarly adventure gamers are required to find and use objects, solving riddles and problems, exploring a restricted area or room and generally interact with the environment. It is more of an intellectual journey or quest to find and eliminate suspects unlike action PC gaming that deal with more of the physical challenges of gaming, like fighting opponents.

Her novels still out sell many books in the crime fiction genre, which considering that some of her stories were written eighty years ago, is pretty good going. The strength of her plots, her characters and inimitable style of twists and use of clever devices make it easy to make great mystery adventure computer gaming from her stories.

Agatha Christie, the world's best-selling crime fiction writer has had 5 of her famous most mysteries made into adventure & mystery computer games. For those who haven't read her books, you will find that these interactive adaptations are not only a great introduction to some of her finest stories but they are in themselves excellent examples for adventure & mystery PC gamers. For fans of murder mysteries, these adventure computer games are an excellent way to get immersed in your favorite Agatha novels.
